Movie Editing 2.0
Well from my favorite site Digg.com I picked up this article about new ways to edit your movies online. I’m going to outline those editors for you. So lets get started
- First there is Jumpcut this allows you to upload all your materials via a nice clean flash interface and then it allows you to add titles, effects, transitions, music, and split and crop video tracks. I have tried this myself and it works great and there is great integration with your Facebook and Flickr accounts
- Next up there is Eyespot which has all the same features as Jumpcut minus the Facebook and Flickr integration. Although Eyespot is more of an eye sore and is not nearly as “pretty” as say Jumpcut
- Movie Masher lets web site owners offer editing and remixing capabilities to their visitors via a sophisticated flash widget, which can be customized to match the look of your web site. The editing tools allow you to sequence and trim clips, add effects, transitions, titles, and music, using a familiar timeline editor.
- Up next is Cuts which I personally don’t think is too great of an idea, basically it allows you to just steal other people’s movies, but to each there own and if you want to go ahead. Cuts allows you to import movies from Myspace, Facebook, Youtube, etc and allows you to make your own cut (pun intended).
I think that the true winner here is Jumpcut because it’s got the best features in my opinion and it seems to allow you to do the most. Although if you do have your own site I can see where MovieMasher is the true winner for you.
