Crayon Physics Deluxe
Crayon Physics Deluxe
This game is absolutley amazing, I’m just awe struck by this video, I can’t wait to go play it right after I finish writing this.
Edit: Well I’m not going to lie, I’m sort of depressed turns out the beta version is a .exe meaning that I can’t run it on my mac so I can’t wait to get to school tomorrow ;). Oh and you can check out the site here.
Facebook Invitations - The New Spam
While I was reading Mrod’s blog I came across his rant about Facebook and their application invites. In my opinion the application invites are the worst thing that Facebook could have ever implemented, how were applications not going to abuse it when it’s so easy to do? They’re not. At this point I think it’s time for Facebook to go on damage control and allow users to turn off the ability to be invited to applications by blocking them or by some other means.
Facebook needs to do something about this, the end.

So I was going through my contacts photos the other day when I came across this photo from Mike Orazzi of one of his remote flashes he had set up at a high school basketball game. It’s a really cool picture and to be honest he’s really making me want some of these fancy flashes he’s got.
Canon EOS XSi

Apparently in April Canon is releasing their update to their entry level SLR camera bodies with the XSi which adds a new image sensor, bigger screen, and live view. As far as I know (and I’m probably going to be corrected on this) the XSi will be the second major camera from a large company to feature an SLR camera with live view. But as an aspiring photographer I’m almost thinking I’d rather not have a live view, I’ve always been a fan of viewfinders, even on most point and shoot cameras.
Edit: Here’s a link to Canon’s site with details about the camera.
Senator See UFO
This is the funnies thing I’ve seen in a while.
I’m Still Alive!
I know my posts have been been few and far apart but I think anyone can vouch for me on this one, the holidays are hectic and this year more than any others in the past I’m really feeling the pinch of time balancing school, practice, and my social life hasn’t been easy let alone spending time with my family and getting ready for Christmas. It’s a crazy world out there. Anyways to cut to the chase I plan on getting back to blogging somewhere around the 27th or even the new year so you’ll see the number of posts coming back up.
Any of my consistent readers I thank you very much for sticking with me and I will see you on the other side of my Christmas vacation.
Jetman on Facebook
The Jetman application on Facebook that everyone (almost literally) is talking about in my school is nothing more complex than the helicopter game that you can find on addicting games. The only thing I see different about this application is that it does have new and improved graphics and this Jetman Arena thingy that I’ve yet to try out. But disappointingly enough this application does sink to the levels of some of the other crappy viral applications. In order to upgrade your character or anything of the sorts you need to invite people. I don’t know about you but getting these endless invites to applications I don’t care about gets pretty annoying and I can’t figure out why Facebook hasn’t limited the invite feature even further as it’s quite possibly the worst idea within the Facebook platform. I think that a person should only be able to be invited to an application once and only once by everyone. But I guess I’ve got to live with this for now.
What’s this, No Hillary?!
I’m amazed that when I went to Digg The Candidates (A brand new Digg feature) I didn’t see Hillary Clinton as one of the top people and honesty, I’m glad. A picture below (click it for full view)

Although this is a fairly old incident and fire the picture still amazes me, I’m not quite sure how Mike captured this one but it’s absolutely captivating to me for some reason. And if you’re ever bored and live around the Bristol area check out newspaper_guy on Flickr, he’s got a lot of really good local new shots as well as some other plain out beautiful shots.
Massive Printer

On the front page of Digg DeputyDog seems to have made yet another great post, this time he managed to find a huge HP printer. In the picture above you can see the shear size of the printer, on the right is a normal sized PC, this thing is gigantic. You can check out the massive HP Scitex TJ8300 at HP’s site. Just to give you an idea of this printer’s size and capabilites I took this from HP’s site.
• High-speed industrial digital productivity
• Prints 140 posters 1.5m X 1.8m per hour
• 100 billboards per eight hour shift
• Top-quality images and sharp text
Of course I need to give credit to DeputyDog for his find. Check out his post here.
