Support the Writers’ Strike
Until today when I watched the above video and after I was influenced to visit unitedhollywood.com by “Ask a Ninja Special Delivery 17.” I understand that the writers’ want to more than double their income from residuals from $.04 to $.08 it will costs movie and TV studios millions of dollars but without these writers these studios suffer as you can see in many of the prime time TV shows that have started reruns or are just significantly worse since the start of the strike. These writers are crucial and deserve every penny that they’re asking for, after all do you want crappy TV shows and movies? I ask that you do what you can to support the writers’ strike, because I don’t know about you but I want good TV back.
Check out the writers strike at unitedhollywood.com or head on over to youtube and check out some of their videos. I’ve also posted one more videos after the break. (more…)
How to end the Writers Strike…Ninja style
Today “Ask a Ninja” put out a special podcast supporting the writers and explaining how to end the strike the easiest way possible, using vikings. I figured I should share this pretty funny video with the world and to show my support for the writers (more to come on that). So check out the video below.
Movies to Watch
Often I’m left out of the loop when people are talking about movies or quoting movies because I don’t like to pay the high movie theater prices and then forget to rent them when they come out on DVD, so I had a friend of mine, a movie buff come up with a list of movies I have to see because they’re good or they’re landmark films. So I’m going to post the list after the break and tell me if you think any movies are not worth watching and absolutely any that should be added
Great Title Sequence form the Movie “Thank you for Smoking”
I never realized before how genius this title sequence is, it’s absolutely stunning. The movie isn’t too bad either. But seriously click the “read more” link to see a video of the title sequence, it’s great.
Movie Editing 2.0
Well from my favorite site Digg.com I picked up this article about new ways to edit your movies online. I’m going to outline those editors for you. So lets get started
Leonardo DiCaprio and Set Pictures
Well as I promised in my last post that was a huge hit, much bigger than i ever thought I do have more pictures for everyone! They are available on my Flickr Account. I am also going to post them here.
A person that I’m not really sure who it is, I’ve heard from some that it’s director Sam Mendes but from others that it is not, so I’m just going to say that it’s a person who looks important
Slightly out of view in this picture is a huge green screen that the crew was setting up for who knows what with these huge reflected lights.
This is a larger version of the pictures I had in my last post of when Mr. DiCaprio exited his police escorted vehicle.
This is a close up of the car that Leonardo was being driven around in all day. (Plate blurred on request of police)
For even more you may visit my Flickr set dedicated to the filming of this movie.
Thanks, JAK
Leonardo DiCaprio, Dreamworks, and Hollywood Producers
Today parts of the movie Revolutionary Road were filmed here in Thomaston. As many of you know Leonardo DiCaprio stars in this film and was present in our small town. A public spotting of him was rare and I managed to get my hands on a couple of candid shots of him. Such as this one:
This was when he was getting out of his police escorted Lincoln to go into his private trailer. I have many many more pictures of him and I will upload them tomorrow when I have some more time. For now I leave you with this other shot of what we were allowed to see from the street. img_8187.jpg (link will bring you to full size). Remember to check back tomorrow the 13th for more pictures or check my Flickr account (the link is on the right). Once again I apologize for the brevity of this post but I need to study for exams tomorrow but I promise I will have more pictures uploaded.
Dreamworks in Thomaston!
Well the past few days have brought a lot of excitement to the local news media. Leonardo DiCaprio is going to be in Thomaston, my hometown. The local media has been all over this and has stirred quite a bit of excitement for such a small thing, it’s only him getting on and off of a train, then said train is being moved out and brought to Grand Central Terminal in NYC. Of course I’ve gotta get in on the action so a friend of mine and me are going to go down tomorrow and try to get some pictures of everything that’s going on, wish me luck and I’ll have the pictures up for you soon I hope.
