Photo Sniper

A friend of mine just sent me this on AIM, apparently it’s a camera attachment that acts like a normal gun. I’ve gotta go check out the “Fotosniper”.
Edit: Ok turns out that camera is all one thing and I found the company’s website about it. Talk about a bad website too.
Eclipsed Moon Flood

I was checknig out the interesting photos on Flickr when I came across this shot of the eclipsed moon we had a few days back over a flooded area. It’s flat out amazing.

So I was going through my contacts photos the other day when I came across this photo from Mike Orazzi of one of his remote flashes he had set up at a high school basketball game. It’s a really cool picture and to be honest he’s really making me want some of these fancy flashes he’s got.
Canon EOS XSi

Apparently in April Canon is releasing their update to their entry level SLR camera bodies with the XSi which adds a new image sensor, bigger screen, and live view. As far as I know (and I’m probably going to be corrected on this) the XSi will be the second major camera from a large company to feature an SLR camera with live view. But as an aspiring photographer I’m almost thinking I’d rather not have a live view, I’ve always been a fan of viewfinders, even on most point and shoot cameras.
Edit: Here’s a link to Canon’s site with details about the camera.

This lit sculpture is possibly one of my favorite pictures I took while I was in Disney, what do you think? Check it out and let me know!
Truck Fire

Although this is a fairly old incident and fire the picture still amazes me, I’m not quite sure how Mike captured this one but it’s absolutely captivating to me for some reason. And if you’re ever bored and live around the Bristol area check out newspaper_guy on Flickr, he’s got a lot of really good local new shots as well as some other plain out beautiful shots.
A lot of Buses
State Opens 151, originally uploaded by Spencer’s.
This picture is actually mine but Spencer uploaded. Anyways I’ll cut to the chase, this is a reall weird number for a bus to have, anyone else think the same? I mean what town has over 50,000 buses?

Yet again I’ve found another amazingly beautiful picture from Stuck in Customs. This photographer is quite possibly the best HDR photographer I have ever seen.
It’s been a While
Well I just realized how long it’s been since I last blogged so I’m going to just give you a quick update of everything that’s going on in my life.
I’ve been using Leopard and it is awesome although I have had a few kernal panics it’s truely been awesome, it seems faster and more friendly to my computer than Tiger did. It seems to run more programs better without any issues of them getting really slow (even Lightroom is better). Time machine I’m not a big fan of only because I don’t have a big enough external hard drive. And yes I did experience the fated blue screen of death issue that some people have been having and an archive install wasn’t an option for me so following Apple’s dirrections I used their “advanced” fix even though it’s really easy.
Next, I’ve gotten back to running and it’s been great although I am still having stomach problems and my doctor isn’t exactly sure what the issue is now and is thinking I need a capsule endoscopy to help the diagnosis.
Even more, Thomaston cross country is the Connecticut State Class S champions for the third year in a row and now is gunning to become the first class “S” team to advance to the New England Championships in Cumberland, Maine. Good luck to all teams in the state open tomorrow and see you there.
Yes I’ve still got more to tell the world. I’ve uploaded a few new pictures to my flickr account (box on the right) so please go check them out and leave me some comments, I’d appreciate it.
I think that’s it for now I’m sure I’ll have some more over the weekend and keep the comments coming.
