RSS FAQ
What is RSS you ask?
Well RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication. Basically it’s a web feed of things that update often, for example, my blog. You can use RSS to avoid going to the actual site to read updates or even just to see if there are any updates.
Can I use RSS?
Yes you can! There are several RSS readers or aggregators out there for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux, just do a simple Google search for “RSS aggregator” followed by your operating system. A few browsers even have RSS integrated in them, Firefox, Flock, Safari, and a growing number of browsers do.
How do I subscribe to your blog’s RSS feed?
By adding the RSS feed’s URL to your aggregator or browsing to it using an RSS capable browser that will automatically add the feed to your list of feeds. The URL for my blog is http://jak119.wordpress.com/feed/
I still don’t understand RSS, can I have more information?
I suggest that you visit my favorite reference place, Wikipedia. Wikipedia has a great article on RSS syndication available. I also suggest using my favorite search engine Google for anymore information you may need.
